Pizza, pools, and powerful conversations—Bitcoin Pizza Day 2024 in the Philippines was anything but ordinary.

In true Web3 fashion, Trust Wallet, CoinEx, PizzaDAO, CryptoFemale PH, and Cryptita Plays came together for two epic back-to-back celebrations in Pansol, Laguna, that blended fun, education, and community spirit. And yes, there was a lot of pizza.

Making a Splash with Trust Wallet x CoinEx

On May 22, the afternoon kicked off with the Bitcoin Pizza Day Pool Party, hosted by Cryptita Plays and powered by Trust Wallet and CoinEx Filipino.

It was more than just a summer hangout. Attendees got to:

  • Learn the basics of crypto wallets with Trust Wallet’s Wallet 101
  • Dive into beginner-friendly trading tips with CoinEx
  • Join interactive games, trivia, and win exclusive crypto merch
  • And, of course, enjoy unlimited pizza and poolside vibes

From seasoned traders to curious newcomers, everyone found something to love, especially the sense of belonging in a growing Web3 community.

Pizza for the People: A Night with PizzaDAO x CryptoFemale PH

As the sun went down, the second celebration turned up. The PizzaDAO Global Pizza Party, co-hosted by CryptoFemale PH, brought together a dynamic mix of advocates, builders, creators, and newcomers who believe in the power of decentralization and diversity.

With PizzaDAO championing global access to free pizza and blockchain education and CryptoFemale PH spotlighting women leaders in Web3, the night was equal parts celebration and reflection.

One of the most memorable moments?

The panel discussion, Slices of Power: How Women Are Building Communities & Breaking Barriers in Web3,” Moderated by CrypTita Arshelene Lingao, featured inspiring voices from the space, including CryptoFemale Founder Krystelle Gasgonia-Galano, Meta Pool’s Christine Mae Chavez, CoreDAO Lead Community Ambassador and Contributor in Base PH and Hiraya Network Riselle Saure, and our very own, Nina Crisostomo, NEN Digital’s Co-Founder and CMCO.

Their insights on community-building, storytelling, and digital empowerment impacted many in the audience and were a much-needed reminder that women aren’t just participating in Web3, they’re shaping it.

Bitcoin Pizza Day isn’t just about commemorating the first real-world crypto transaction—it’s a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come and build a more inclusive future together.

We at NEN Digital were honored to be part of this two-part celebration. Our mission to help amplify innovation and human connection in digital spaces aligned perfectly with the heart of these events.

Looking Ahead

As blockchain continues to grow, so does the importance of real-world gatherings that spark genuine connections.

These events weren’t just about pizza and pools (although they were amazing)—they were about people. About creating a space where everyone, from curious first-timers to crypto veterans, can feel seen, heard, and welcomed.

So here’s to more events like this.

More conversations.

More learning.

And yes, more pizza. 🍕
